This Old Doll's
MARY HOYER DOLLS
First Mary Hoyer

This is an example of the first doll the Hoyer Company sold as Mary Hoyer. She was made by the Ideal company for Mary Hoyer around 1935. She's a 13" tall composition doll with a 3-part jointed body and walker legs. Her wig is blonde Saran and her outfit is tagged. The blouse is a shear dotted Swiss cotton with the cut design on the front and her pleated, plaid skirt is wool. The shoes are black fabric side snaps and her socks are Rayon. She's marked with only the number "13" on back of the top body part. Her open/close eyes are dark blue with brown camel hair lashes. In 1937, Mary had Bernard Lipfurt scult a new 14" Mary Hoyer when Ideal halted production of this doll.
Value: if all original in near mint condition $500.00+
